    Committee work is a key component of AAM member engagement. Committees will advise the AAM Board of Directors, Executive Committee and staff on issues and matters central to the AAM community.

    This is a chance to apply your experience and energy to some fundamental tasks keeping our AAM community on solid financial ground. You will help to oversee current and future financial strategies, monitor the flow of funds in and out, help manage the plans for how to best secure the Association’s assets and keep the Board informed about the state of AAM’s financial health.
    This committee will address issues important to members and review membership criteria. You will also oversee credentialing, develop projects to inform the wider public about AAM and work to enhance the value of AAM membership, rewarding our current members and encouraging new members to apply.
    These committee members promote and maintain a high standard of conduct by AAM members and safeguard the significant value of AAM membership. Ensuring member compliance with the Model Standards of Conduct and resolving conduct-related complaints is an important and rewarding opportunity for you participate more in AAM.
    Members of this committee will cooperate in the planning and delivery of various programs to stimulate discussion and educate AAM members about current developments in our field and to improve, promote and advance the profession. Trainings, newsletters, list-serve and other avenues can give this committee a powerful impact on the life and success of AAM.
    This collaborative provides information and networking opportunities to mediators who work to resolve commercial and financial services disputes.
    This collaborative provides information and networking opportunities to practitioners working in Court mediation programs.
    This collaborative is targeted for those mediators working in an education context. It provides information and networking opportunities for practitioners working in preK-12th grade as well as higher education settings.
    This collaborative promotes the use of mediation in environmental and public policy disputes and provides information and networking opportunities to practitioners working in those arenas.
    This collaborative is targeted for those mediators working throughout the family mediation field. It provides information and networking opportunities for practitioners working in family, divorce, child custody, adoption, parent-teen, and elder decision-making arenas.
    This collaborative promotes the use of mediation in workplace and employment issues. It provides information and networking opportunities to practitioners working across the workplace arena including, but not limited to: discrimination, ADA, sexual harassment, worker’s comp, EEOC, cross cultural and government.
